At Microverse, we always say – ‘Microverse is a mission and not a business’. A mission to indigenously develop the latest cutting edge technologies. A mission to challenge the traditional status quo that has been accepted in the automation domain. Revolutionize the industry. Our customers are our partners and the purpose of our business is to solve their pain points instead of peddling our solutions, by innovating our technology daily.
At Microverse, every one is a stake holder and a partner. We are all responsible for making the impossible happen.
Microverse was started in 1989 by a group of technocrats with a mission to develop an ‘Indian’ DCS.
They challenged all the conventional industry norms and set out to build a company with a focus on innovation in automation.
Microsys 1600 the first Indian DCS was developed
The first major chemical plant was commissioned on Microverse DCS and the automation solutions suite. The project consisted of 7,000 IOs for automation of 24 distillation columns.
Microverse starts its ferro alloy division. The division focuses on automation for ferro alloy processes including electrode and furnace control, raw material handling, and gas cleaning plant.
True to its mission of innovation, Microverse has always focused on innovation and revolutionizing the processes. Conventionally, current control algorithms are used for control of electrode positions. Microverse has developed resistance control algorithms that aim to improve the plant efficiency significantly.
Microverse completed the project for Dept. of Atomic Energy with over 24,000 Ios. The project and the implementation was highly critical being a captive power plant for the heavy water board. The DCS has triple
redundancy from IO level to the controller. The installation is still running successfully.
Microverse starts it’s IIoT division with a focus on cloud as well as on-premise solutions. The various modules include remote dashboards, data analytics, process modeling, predictive modeling and advanced process control.
Microverse partners with Hitachi Hitech, Japan. Hitachi and Microverse engage in extensive discussions over a 12
month period to evaluate Microverse developed technologies and especially the DCS – 3200 ET. Hitachi
concludes that it would like to promote the DCS in India and South East Asia as a part of the Hitachi solutions.
Microverse and Hitachi also agree to jointly research and develop the latest, next generation technology solutions in the domains of automation, IoT, MES, APC, etc.
